This is Namihara Secret:
Within the enclosed grounds, there are two buildings: the “Main Cottage” with a capacity of four people and the “Plus 2 Cottage” for two people, both separated by a lovely garden. The garden features a spacious fire pit area and a separate BBQ space. The Main Cottage also comes with a large deck. Especially appealing to surfers are the outdoor shower and surfboard racks. Namihara Secret isn’t just stylish; it’s also incredibly functional and user-friendly.
Cottage Information:
Main Cottage – Accommodates 4 guests
The Main Cottage features two single beds, one sofa bed, a bathroom, refrigerator, washer-dryer, gas stove, toaster oven, microwave, Hollywood mirror, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi.
Plus 2 Cottage – Accommodates 2 guests
Two single beds, Shower (no bathtub), Projector, IH stove, Microwave.
(Note: The floor of the Plus 2 Cottage is made of reclaimed materials, with a charming uneven texture, so please use indoor slippers provided.)

Barbecue sets are available for rent for a fee (firewood and charcoal are to be provided by guests).

Toothbrushes and towels are provided. We also offer indoor slippers, but bringing your own everyday slippers would enhance your comfort during your stay.
Plan
Even close-knit families often prefer separate lodgings when staying over, and it’s quite common. You can opt for the camaraderie of all staying together in the Main Cottage for up to four guests, or you could rent the Plus 2 Cottage as well. This way, you can enjoy meals together but have separate sleeping spaces if desired. Our pricing varies based on the season and day of the week, so please refer to the calendar below for details. Off-peak seasons offer particularly great deals, and all prices are inclusive of taxes.
*We also offer a barbecue set rental for ¥1,100.

Example 1: For 4 guests, the cost for renting the Main Cottage only during the basic rate period is ¥40,000 (tax included).

- We do not provide meals, but we encourage you to explore the nearby restaurants where you can enjoy the fresh seafood and local delicacies of Minamiboso.
- Fire pit rental is currently available for free.
- Please bring your own charcoal and firewood.
- If you’ve ordered the barbecue set but it starts to rain, we can lend you a gas stove that can be used on the deck.
It’s a really convenient gas stove. - We offer free parking for up to three regular-sized cars. (Please note that we are not liable for any accidents or damages that may occur in the parking area.)
- While we do not have a specific child rate, one preschool-aged child can sleep on the sofa for free when accompanying adults.
- Depending on the weather, you can enjoy stargazing from the beach, with a spectacular view of the starry sky (especially during winter), accompanied by the soothing sound of the waves.

“Namihara Secret” Accommodation Terms and Conditions
[General Usage]
The villa “Namihara Secret” operates on the principles of respecting our guests’ manners and morals while providing services at set prices. In the event of any accidents or troubles resulting in damage or severe stains to the building or facilities during your stay, the representative who made the reservation will be billed for the actual expenses based on our estimate.
[Capacity]
The number of guests cannot exceed the number specified in the reservation. If it is discovered that more guests than booked are present, it will be considered a breach of contract, and guests will be asked to vacate the premises.
[Child Rates]
While we do not have specific child rates, one preschool-aged child can sleep on the sofa bed with accompanying adults at no additional charge. Please inform us of your co-sleeping request when making your reservation.
[Property Manager]
A property manager will be present for check-in. While there is no overnight staff, nearby employees are available for emergencies. Although a property manager will not be present at check-out, we appreciate a courtesy call upon departure. We adhere to regulations under the Innkeepers Act and monitor entry and exit for security purposes.

【Payment】
We kindly request advance payment. Your reservation will be considered complete upon receipt of payment via bank transfer or card payment after reservation confirmation. Payment is due within 7 days of reservation confirmation, including the reservation date (or the following day if it falls on a bank holiday). In the event of a cancellation, refunds will be processed according to our cancellation policy.
【Cancellation Policy】
14 to 8 days before the reservation date: 10% cancellation fee
7 to 2 days before the reservation date: 30% cancellation fee
1 day before (previous day) the reservation date: 50% cancellation fee
On the day of the reservation: 100% cancellation fee

Cancellation on July 15th: No cancellation fee
Cancellation on July 16th: 10% cancellation fee (14 days before the reservation date)

【Change in Number of Guests】
Changes in the number of guests can be made without incurring change fees. Please inform us in advance. If the number of guests increases, additional payment is required in advance. If the number decreases, a refund will be issued via bank transfer.

Late check-out or early check-in requests are subject to availability and may incur an additional fee (approximately 10% of the accommodation fee per hour).

【Check-in Procedure】
Please call us shortly before your estimated arrival time. A staff member will greet you, provide a brief orientation, and explain the facilities. For returning guests, we will provide an access code via email for self-check-in. Please notify us only upon arrival.
【Cleaning for Multiple Nights Stay】
We do not provide cleaning or linen changes for consecutive nights. If you have a large amount of trash, please contact us for collection.
【Meals】
Namihara Secret does not offer meals. You are welcome to use the kitchen and BBQ area to prepare your own meals, or you can explore nearby dining options.
【Pets】
We regret to inform you that pets are not allowed on the premises. Some future guests may have concerns about odors, etc., so we appreciate your understanding. If it is discovered that a pet has been on the premises after your departure (e.g., evidence of animal hair or odor), you will be responsible for the actual expenses incurred, including housekeeping fees, replacement of bedding and furnishings, and compensation for any health damages suffered by subsequent guests.
【Noise】
Please be considerate of our neighbors, as the surrounding area is quiet. Avoid activities that may disturb nearby residents, especially after 9:30 PM on the deck. In the event of noise complaints from neighbors, a fee of ¥30,000 will be charged.
【Handling of Fire】
(Bonfires and Fireworks)
We have provided a designated bonfire area for your enjoyment, but please be mindful of excessive smoke, which may prompt neighbors to contact the fire department. Please enjoy a small, warm bonfire. Bonfires are allowed until 9:00 PM. Please extinguish the fire with the provided watering can at this time. If it is windy, please inform us during check-in, and if the wind picks up at night, please extinguish the fire promptly. Unfortunately, fireworks, even handheld ones, produce a lot of smoke and may lead to a fire department call, so they are not allowed.
(BBQ)
BBQ equipment rental incurs a fee. If you bring your own stove, there is no charge. We do not provide charcoal, so please bring your own. BBQ and deck usage (for dining or socializing) are allowed until 9:30 PM. Please finish BBQ activities around 9:00 PM, clean up, close the windows indoors, and enjoy your time indoors to prevent noise disturbance. (In case of rain, we will provide a cassette gas stove for use on the deck, which is quite handy!)
(Smoking)
Smoking indoors (including electronic cigarettes) is prohibited. Please smoke on the deck or in the garden BBQ area. (Please bring your own portable ashtray.)
【Utensils and Cooking Equipment】
Please wash any cooking utensils and dishes you use and place them in the stainless steel basket in the kitchen. After BBQ, please ensure the fire is completely extinguished and leave the BBQ utensils in the garden.
【Garbage】
Please separate your trash and dispose of it in the garbage bins provided:

Your cooperation with trash separation is appreciated as it contributes to local initiatives.
【Parking】
There is parking space for three regular-sized cars. Please consult us in advance if you plan to use a microbus.
【Insects and Pests】
As we are located in a seaside rural town, insects may be prevalent, especially in warm weather. Please be mindful when opening doors and windows and take precautions against insect bites. Namihara Secret cannot be held responsible for injuries caused by insect bites or pests.
【Miscellaneous】
(Shoes)
Please refrain from using indoor slippers outdoors. We have provided separate sandals for the wooden deck, but please be careful not to enter the indoor area with them.

Q: How do I check-in on the day of arrival? A: We will contact you via email to provide instructions for check-in. Q: Are there convenience stores or supermarkets nearby? A: There is a Seven-Eleven within a 3-minute drive. The nearest supermarket, “Super Odoya Maruyama Store,” is about a 5-minute drive away.
Q: Is smoking allowed? A: Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is prohibited indoors. Please smoke on the wooden deck or in the BBQ area. (Please bring your own portable ashtray.)
Q: Are there any restrictions on the use of the wooden deck? A: Outdoor facilities, including the wooden deck, are available until 9:30 PM. BBQ and bonfire activities should end around 9:00 PM, and after that, please enjoy socializing indoors.
